Crypto Fear And Greed Index – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how IT Sols and Services (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application Crypto Fear And Greed Index (the “App”), available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The App shows the current Crypto Fear & Greed Index, how it has changed over time, our own Super Index and per-coin scores built from public market data, a short daily written brief, a historical simulator, and optional alerts.

We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this policy explains what information the App does, and does not, collect.

Summary

  • The App has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools. We do not know who you are.
  • Your settings (appearance and alert preferences) and the latest index reading are stored on your device only.
  • If you turn on threshold alerts, the App registers a push notification token with our server so we can send them. The token identifies your device to the notification service, not you, and is deleted when you turn alerts off.
  • The daily brief is generated on our server from market figures alone; nothing about you is involved.
  • If you subscribe to Pro (where offered), payment is handled by Apple or Google and we never see your payment details.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do not collect advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, files, health data, or financial data, and the App never asks for wallet details, exchange accounts, or payment card information. The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App keeps a small amount of data on your device so it works the way you left it: your appearance setting, your alert preferences (which alerts are on, the levels you chose, and the time of the daily reading), and the most recent index reading, which the home-screen widget and the daily reminder use. None of this leaves your device. Uninstalling the App removes it completely.

Internet Access

The App uses your internet connection to retrieve publicly published market data and to reach our own service:

  • alternative.me – the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, current and historical.
  • CoinGecko – recent Bitcoin prices for the history chart and simulator.
  • Our service at fag.itsolsandservices.com – the Super Index, per-coin scores, coin history and the daily brief, computed from public Binance Futures and alternative.me data. It runs on Vercel’s infrastructure in London.

No identifier of you is sent with these requests. As with any internet connection, standard technical information (such as an IP address) is processed transiently by the data providers and by our hosting provider to deliver the content and to keep the service secure; we do not use it to identify or profile you.

Notifications and Alerts

Alerts are off unless you turn them on, and the App asks for the system notification permission first.

The daily reading is a notification scheduled on your device by the App itself. It involves no server and no data leaves your phone for it.

Threshold alerts (for example, “tell me when the index falls to 25”) are sent by our server. To make that possible the App registers with our service a push notification token issued by Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) or Apple (Apple Push Notification service) together with the alert levels you chose and your platform (Android or iOS). The token is a random string that lets the notification service reach your device; it is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and we hold no other information about the device. We delete the record when you turn all alerts off, and automatically if the App has not been opened for 120 days. Google’s handling of the token is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security page; Apple’s in the Apple Privacy Policy.

The Daily Brief and Artificial Intelligence

Each day our server turns that day’s readings into a short written brief using an AI language model provided by Anthropic. The only information sent to the model is market data: index values, the Super Index components, Bitcoin’s recent price moves, historical statistics and coin scores. No information about you or your device is included, because our server has none. The brief is stored on our service and shown to every user of the App alike.

Pro Subscription (Where Offered)

Some features may be offered as an optional “Pro” subscription. Purchases are made through, and billed by, the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms and privacy policies; we never receive your payment details. To confirm whether a subscription is active, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the App and the purchase receipt from the store. This identifier is not linked to your name or email. RevenueCat’s handling of that data is described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. You can restore a purchase on a new device with the “Restore purchase” button in the App.

Home-Screen Widget

The widget shows the latest reading the App has fetched. Its data is stored on your device and shared only between the App and its widget.

Permissions

The App requests internet access. It asks for notification permission only if you turn on alerts, and the billing permission on Android is used only to offer the Pro subscription. It requests no other permissions.

Children’s Privacy

The App is informational and suitable for general audiences. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it also collects no personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Your Rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. The only record that can exist is a push notification token, which you remove by turning alerts off in the App (the App tells our server to delete it) or by uninstalling the App, after which the token stops working and is deleted within 120 days at the latest. If you would like us to remove a token sooner, contact us and we will help.

Google Play and the App Store

Separately from the App, Google Play and the Apple App Store record installs, uninstalls, subscription events and crash reports for every app they distribute and report them to developers in aggregate only. We see counts and anonymous crash traces, never who you are. That collection is theirs and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

Not Financial Advice

The App presents publicly available market sentiment data, statistics derived from it, and a written summary for information only. It does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice, and nothing in it, including the daily brief and any alert, should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Crypto assets are volatile; always do your own research.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
